Our Birding Walks Are a Hit!

Various birds on the water in spring at Grace Lake

The guided bird walks at Grace Lake are proving to be something truly special this season, and the numbers speak for themselves!

Our third guided bird walk was a spectacular morning out on the boardwalk. The group spotted or heard an incredible 67 different bird species, including exciting new warbler sightings from the week before; one standout being the gorgeous Blackburnian warbler! And it wasn’t just the birds putting on a show: leopard frogs and chorus frogs were serenading the group the whole way, butterflies were finally making their appearance, and the bees were buzzing. (The wood frogs were feeling a little shy, but we’ll forgive them!)

Whether you’re a lifelong birder or just starting to look up, these walks are an unforgettable way to experience the magic of Grace Lake’s boreal ecosystem. Each tour brings something new!
