Have You Signed the Trail Book?

Lined notebook with a message from the trail book creators encouraging people to leave notes about their experiences along the trail.

Next time you visit the Grace Lake Boardwalk, keep an eye out for something special!

A couple of enthusiastic young trail users have started a Trail Book, and we think it’s one of the best things to happen on the boardwalk this season! The idea is simple: stop for a moment, pick up the pen, and leave a message. A hello, a favourite sighting, a memory from your visit, anything goes. It’s a lovely way to feel connected to the community of people who love this place as much as you do.

But there’s another reason we love when visitors sign in: it helps us understand just how far Opasquia Trails reaches. We’re always amazed to see where our visitors come from; neighbouring communities, across Manitoba, and beyond. That information is more valuable than you might think. When we apply for grants and funding to maintain and expand the trail, being able to show the breadth and diversity of our visitor base makes a real difference. Every name in that book is a small but meaningful contribution to the future of Grace Lake.

So next time you’re out, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, take a moment to sign the Trail Book. You’ll be leaving your mark on something bigger than you know.
